Cisco CuCM
Two overall types of configuration tasks are necessary when integrating CUCM with Unity:

Unity configuration tasks
To configure CUCM for integration with Unity, you must complete the following steps (at a minimum):
Step 1.
Configure voicemail ports either manually or using the wizard. The wizard can be accessed by navigating to Advanced
Features, Voice Mail, Cisco Voice Mail Port Wizard . A voicemail port enables communication between CUCM and
Unity.
Step 2.
Create a hunt list by navigating to Call Routing, Route/Hunt, Hunt List .
Step 3.
Create a hunt pilot by navigating to Call Routing, Route/Hunt, Hunt Pilot .
Step 4.
Configure Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) settings. This can be accomplished by navigating to Advanced Features,
Voice Mail, Message Waiting .
Step 5.
Create a voicemail pilot by going to Advanced Features, Voice Mail, Voice Mail Pilot . The Voice Mail Pilot number
determines the number that is dialed when users press the Message button on their phones.
Step 6.
Finally, configure a voicemail profile by navigating to Advanced Features, Voice Mail, Voice Mail Profile . A
voicemail profile is assigned to lines and control which voicemail pilot lines use.
