Cylinder Light
The
Cylinder Light
is a derivative of the Area Light. This type of light projects from a volume of space as
opposed to a point or a plane. The cylinder can be defined by Length and Radius to produce soft and even
lighting in a scene. The behavior of this light is in many ways similar to a florescent lightbulb. As with the
Area Light, setting Samples to a higher value will produce a smoother and higher-quality result. The intens-
ity of the Cylinder Light is directly tied to its radius. Increasing the radius of this light type results in higher
intensity.
