Background : Victorian England and more specifically Victorian London was an
extremely interesting place, both for emerging technology and crime. It was also
a time of great upheaval with many people moving from Britain and emigrating
to Australia, America, and Canada.

England was a powerhouse across the globe and had claim to many different
colonies across the world. This means that London was a hub of activity and the
connection point to travel through to various parts of the world. But as it was
the central hub for many parts of the world, there was political and social unrest.
Some of these themes and historical items would play nicely in an MMO,
especially from a background and story point of view.

In Victorians, you have the chance of playing one of a number of character
types:

n Soldier: You are a trained soldier whose main skills are in combat.
n Policeman: You are a policeman, working for London

' s famous Scotland

Yard.
n Criminal: You are a petty thief working in London

' s back streets.

The aim of the game is to move up in fame and fortune and become rich and
successful. The character you choose to play will determine the types of skills
that you will have available to use, such as solving crimes, committing crimes, or
helping the government restore order in the city.

Victorian London has been depicted many times in many films and books, such
