with a heightmap that consists of a 64x64 black square, which will create a flat
terrain.
1. Create a black 64x64 square in a paint package and then import it into
the game. This will create a flat, low terrain.
2. Click on the Enter Edit Mode button to reveal the various options.
3. Select Fix Terrain Height. You can see the extra options in Figure 12.13.

4. Amend the radius so that you have a larger drawing area and reduce the
height to 32.
5. Once you have drawn a large area, you can then reduce the height to
around 7 and use it on one part of your image to create a canyon
effect.
6. In my example I
ve also created a path from the canyon to another area,
as shown in Figure 12.14.
