Rock Cafe ITALIAN $$
( 284-495-5482; www.bvidining.com ; mains $20-38; dinner) Nestled among the
boulders at the traffic circle south of Spanish Town, this place has indoor and outdoor din-
ing, plus a popular terrace bar that rocks with live music several nights per week. The
cuisine is mostly Italian, with pizzas, pastas, mahi mahi, snapper and other fresh fish. Many
locals think it bakes the best lobster on the island.
Giorgio's ITALIAN $$$
( 284-495-5684; www.giorgiobvi.net ; mains $38-46; dinner) Peasant food meets
Tuscan gastronomy in dishes like black squid tagliatelle, lobster risotto and braised beef
ravioli - all served with homemade pasta, of course. Chef Giorgio Paradisi is a serious
oenophile, with 250 Italian wines to compliment the fine dining experience in his classy,
exposed-brick setting. Reservations required.
Chez Bamboo FRENCH CARIBBEAN $$$
( 284-495-5752; small plates $8-14, mains $25-45; dinner) Just north of Yacht
Harbour, this bistro (in a converted West Indian home and yard) couldn't be in a better set-
ting, amid candlelight and tropical plants. The chefs specialize in French Creole Caribbean
cuisine; there's also a small plates menu with saltfish croquettes and hummus - items that
go nicely with the happy hour martinis from 5pm to 6pm. Some folks come away saying
the food is overpriced… Still, the yacht owners pour in, so reservations are a good idea.
Mad Dog and Bath & Turtle are Chez Bamboo's sister restaurants.

sauced conch, mango chutney-topped lamb chops and garlic shrimp. During the day, lots
of kids pop over from the school across the street for chocolate cake slices, guava tarts

is located on the road to the Baths.
