Marina) Tours with this organization are broken down into three types: a historical tour,
an ecotour and a moonlight tour.
Sea-Thru Kayak Adventures ( 340-244-8696; www.seathrukayaksvi.com ) This
company does its tours in ubercool clear kayaks so you can see what's gliding in the water
beneath you. It also offers daytime paddles at Cane Bay and various East End and West End
locations. Sea-Thru has no bricks and mortar shop; make location arrangements by phone.
Golf
Of St Croix's three golf courses, Carambola Golf Club ( 340-778-5638;
www.golfcarambola.com ) is the big enchilada. The Robert Trent Jones course has been
ranked among the top 12 resort courses in the world. The 18-hole, 6834-yard, par-72 course
spreads out through a valley on the edge of the rainforest on River Rd (Rte 69) about a mile
south of the Carambola Beach Resort. The greens fee is $135, including a cart. Golf clubs
rent for $35.

Palms at Pelican Cove HOTEL $$

Princesse; r $239-289; ) This 40-room resort hotel overlooks a handsome beach
about 2 miles west of Christiansted. The brightly painted rooms are comfy and a decent
size, but they're not luxurious. The Palms' selling point is its homey vibe and waterside
locale. Guests can use the free snorkel gear and tennis racquets (for the lone court); a morn-
ing yoga class (fee required) takes place on the beach. There's a pool, restaurant and beach
bar. The free wi-fi is available in the public areas only.
