Joe's Rum Hut
BAR
(WharfsideVillage; from11am)
Around 11am, a bartender materializes with rum and
a whopping bowl of limes at this beachfront boozer. After that, it's all about sitting at the
open-air counter, clinking the ice in your mojito and watching the boats bob in the bay out
front. Grab a slice of pie at the adjoining pizza joint if hunger strikes. To find Joe's, head
through the Wharfside Village mall in the opposite direction of the ferry dock; it's on the
first floor fronting the water. It's a swell place to kill time before or after a ferry.
Tap Room
MICROBREWERY

;
MongooseJunction; noon-9pmMon-Sat,
2-9pmSun; )
St John Brewers taps its sunny, citrusy suds here (the actual brewing takes
place stateside). Sip a flagship Mango Pale Ale, play some Trivial Pursuit with the cards on
your table, or surf using the free wi-fi. They serve a small menu of pizzas and sandwiches,
but you're welcome to bring in your own food, too. Alcohol-free options include house-
made root beer, ginger beer and Green Flash energy drink. The air-con blows inside, or you
can take your drink outdoors to the patio.
Quiet Mon Pub
PUB
(

;
12:30pm-4am; )
Situated above La Tapa restaurant, this
tchotchke-laden Irish pub is one of the few places you'll stay indoors (thanks to the air-
con) and pound pints into the wee hours. The tables on the 2nd-floor deck make for the best
people-watching in town because you can see the crowds flowing in and out of Woody's
next door, as well as the neighboring gin joints. You can surf the web ($5 per half hour),
and meet other travelers while checking email.
