dinnerWed-Mon; ) Tucked in a lush courtyard, this little restaurant has superb salads,
sandwiches and fresh, healthy tropical cuisine served by happy, friendly hippies. Try se-
lections from the 'pu pu' menu, a mix of tapas-like treats. There's air-conditioned indoor
seating, or outdoor seating under palms and umbrellas.
Joe's Diner BREAKFAST $
( 340-777-7115; cnr Prince St & King St; mains $5-10; 6am-6pm) This hole-in-
the-wall, with about six street-side tables, is a Cruz Bay institution. It's a favorite place
for locals and travelers to catch a fast bite, especially at breakfast. You will see a steady
queue of folks lined up at the window after 7am ordering juices, coffees, beers, bagels or
egg sandwiches to start their day. Joe's percolates with a wealth of island gossip, and there
are local papers for news junkies.
Lime Inn SEAFOOD $$

nerMon-Sat) Lime Inn is a travelers' favorite for quality cuisine, ambience and service at
moderate prices. Owner Rich Mayer has filled his terrace restaurant with a mix of plants,
wicker and tropical fabrics and hired some of the friendliest waitstaff in town. The New
England clam chowder and the shrimp dijon get rave reviews. Reservations are a good idea.
