To architect, if contractor asked to commence before contract
documents signed and tender not accepted
Dear
Thank you for your letter of the [

] from which we note that the
employer requests us to commence work on site pending completion of the
contract documents.
We note that the employer has not yet accepted our tender of the [

]
and, therefore, there is currently no contract between us, no mechanism for
payment, instructions etc. We are sure that you will understand our reluctance
to commence work under these circumstances.
Obviously, if the employer will send us written and unequivocal acceptance of
our tender or executes the contract documents, we will be happy to commence
as requested.
