To architect, who fails to return the contractor's drawings in due time
This letter is only suitable for use with SBC or DB.

We refer to our letter of the [

] enclosing two copies of drawings

], being the contractor's design documents that we
submitted under paragraph 1 of the Schedule 1 design submission procedure.
Under paragraph 2, you should have responded within 14 days of receipt of
our submission. At the date of this letter, we have not received such response.
Paragraph 3 provides that, in these circumstances, the design documents will
be regarded as marked 'A' and we are proceeding accordingly. Please take
note that if you subsequently return the documents with comments attached,
we will quite properly consider them to be instructions requiring variations to
the Works and, as well as the cost of such variations, we shall be entitled to
extension of time and loss and/or expense.
