Windows 7 Wireless Networking

Wireless networks are increasingly common in the network infrastructures of many companies and organizations. Beyond the office, roaming users frequently find themselves trying to connect to the Internet or to the corporate network via wireless networks at coffee shops, hotels, conference centers, and airports.
Windows 7 makes it easy to see and connect to networks on your laptop wherever you go. Just click the Network and Sharing Center icon on the Control Panel.
When you open the Network and Sharing Center, and you click on Connect to a Network, you see all your wireless and wired options— Wi-Fi, mobile broadband, dial-up, or corporate virtual private network (VPN) (see Figure 10.1). The wireless networks appear only if your computer has a wireless network adapter and driver installed, the adapter is enabled, and wireless networks are available.
