An increase in symptoms, often as a consequence of treatment with anti-parkinson’s medications. autograft Transplant of cells or tissue from one’s own body to another location in the body. The experimental procedure adrenal medullary transplant is an example of an autograft as potential treatment for Parkinson’s disease. The primary advantage of an autograft is that because the tissue or organ is the person’s there is no risk of rejection.
