These are designed for universal application and are also ideally suited for the measurement
of travel on small-sized measuring apparatus. These operate without wear and are highly accurate
and maintenance free. The length measuring standard is a glass scale with graduations. The scale
is directly connected to the plunger and carries a grating which is photoelectrically scanned. The
measured value is obtained by electronic evaluation of pulses which are generated upon activation
of the plunger.
2.32.1.
Electronic Digital Machine Scales.
These electronic linear measuring scales can
be attached to machine or fixture slides or tables and these accurately and easily measure their
movements. Large, right-sized LCD figures in a rugged display housing read to 0.01 mm. Accurate,
linear glass scale is protected within the hardened, stainless steel bar.

Assembly Features
— Slide has convenient mounting holes, bar has adjustable mounting brackets with
mounting holes
— Either bar or slide can be mounted as fixed or moveable. Fixed slide and moveable bar
are preferred because a stationary slide can be mounted in a good, readable position
without cable travel consideration.
Action Features with Four-Button Control
— Scale will automatically turn on with any movement and will turn off after one-half hour
of nonuse
— ZERO set button will zero the reading at any position
— The “±” button designates a plus or minus indication
— PRINT button (on cable) sends readings to printers, data collectors, computers, etc.
— Two 3-volt batteries with one-year life under normal use
— Two output jacks conveniently located on either side of the slide, allow data transmission
to peripherals for analysis, data collection, and hard copy documentation.
