As this unusual aerial view of the Palace shows, the effort to keep out the floodwaters
proved for naught. The water has topped the improvised wall of sandbags and wood. Long a
showplace (note the fancy arched windows and decorative tile on the front), the theater was
later renamed the Camelot. No longer a movie theater, it now houses a dance studio.
