In-Depth Information
Huntington's Orpheum Theater stood just across from the Palace between Tenth and
Eleventh Streets on Fourth Avenue. The men in the rowboat under the marquee seem to be
thinking about floating on into the theater's flooded lobby. Maybe they are Errol Flynn
fans. The theater advertises his Charge of the Light Brigade. Later renamed the Cinema, the
theater now operates as a second-run house. (Courtesy U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.)
