10.5.2 Flood Forecasting Centre

As an addition to the Met Offi ce, the Flood Forecasting Centre has also been created.
Following the devastating summer fl oods of 2007 in parts of England, which cost
the economy £3.2 bn (BBC NEWS 2010 ), the Pitt review 4 called for urgent and
