4. Conclusion
Coastal inundation maps were prepared using the Spatial Analyst module of
ARC GIS software for five run up heights i.e., from 1 to 5 m with an interval
of 1 m, and a reference baseline at current mean sea level was utilized for this
purpose. The results show that if the sea level rises by one metre, inundation
shall submerge an area equal to 56 km 2 . For two-metre rise, the inundation
