to the normalizing of data ( Table 6.2 ) .
6.4 Inside, outside, wrong side around
A hidden, yet critical, theorem is necessary in mapping software if one is to
be able to use software to accurately color polygons and assign addresses to
streets. To do so, it is necessary for the mapping software to be able to distin-
guish the inside from the outside of a polygon.
