This
glass-front hotel feels decadent in a place like San Julián. Rooms are modern and beds
firm, while TV and laundry service are perks. The cafe-bar is also open to the public.
Costanera Hotel
HOTEL $$$
( 452300;

;
25 de Mayo 917; s/d/tr AR$390/450/530; )
After ma-
jor renovations, this waterfront mainstay feels new again. Rooms are standard but tidy,
and the restaurant is good.
La Rural
PARRILLA $
(Ameghino 811; mains AR$40-80)
Service is friendly at La Rural but the hearty food is some-
what mediocre. Still, pretty much all of San Julián seems to congregate at this unpreten-
tious spot. Fareon offer ranges from meat and potatoes to grilled fish and pasta.
Restaurante Costanera Hotel
ARGENTINE $$$
(25 de Mayo 917; mains AR$45-85; noon-3pm & 8-11pm)
Slightly formal but good value, this
crisp hotel restaurant overcomes a bland setting with good wines and satisfying dishes
like grandmother's potatoes, laced with cream and bacon.

The main office is located in the bus terminal, with friendly
service. A new office at the
rotunda
(RN3; 7am-12pm & 2-8pm Oct-Apr)
is useful if
you're traveling by car but not by bus, as the town is still a good distance away and
transport is infrequent.
