Bariloche is renowned for its chocolates, and dozens of stores downtown, from national
chains to mom-and-pop shops, sell chocolates of every style imaginable. Quality, of
course, varies: make sure you don't get sick on the cheap stuff!

Orientation
The principal commercial area is along Av Bartolomé Mitre. Do not confuse VA
O'Connor (also known as Vicealmirante O'Connor or Eduardo O'Connor) with similarly
named John O'Connor, which cross each other near the lakefront. Similarly, Perito
Moreno and Ruiz Moreno intersect near Diagonal Capraro, at the east end of the down-
