In-Depth Information
( 0294-443-1433; Villegas 347; mains AR$92-107; 12-3pm & 8pm-12am; )
It's worth din-
ing at this esteemed
parrilla
simply to see the astonished look on tourists' faces when a
slab of beef the size of a football lands on the table; it's the AR$100
bife de chorizo
(the
AR$80 portion is plenty).
DÃas de Zapata
MEXICAN $$$
( 0294-442-3128; Morales 362; mains AR$80-150; 12-3:30pm & 8pm-12:30am; )
A
warm and inviting little Mexican restaurant. Dishes tend more toward the Tex Mex than
you would think (the owners hail from Mexico City), but the flavors are good and the
servings generous.
Kostelo
INTERNATIONAL $$$
( 0294-443-9697; Quaglia 111; mains AR$80-120; 12-3pm & 8pm-12am Tue-Sun; )
Modern and upscale bar-restaurant best for its location right near the lake. The food isn't
bad, however - creative, well-presented and decent portions. Try to get a table with water
view.
La Marmite
ARGENTINE $$$
( 0294-442-3685; Av Bartolomé Mitre 329; mains AR$90-150; 12pm-1am; )
A trusty
choice for Patagonian standards such as trout and venison. Also the place to come for
chocolate fondue (AR$220 for two), in case you haven't eaten enough of the stuff cold.
Drinking
Los Vikingos
BAR
(cnr Juramento & 20 de Febrero; 8pm-late)
A laid-back little corner bar serving a good
