In-Depth Information
Mendoza is a major transport hub so you can travel to just about anywhere in the coun-
try. Mendoza's bus terminal ( 0261-431-3001; Av de Acceso Este & Costanera ) has domest-
ic and international departures. You can book tickets at no extra cost downtown at the
Terminal del Centro (9 de Julio 1042;
9am-1pm & 5-9pm) .
Domestic
Several companies send buses daily to Uspallata (AR$30, two hours) and Los Penitentes
(AR$36, four hours), the latter for Aconcagua.
During the ski season several companies go directly to Las Leñas (about AR$160, sev-
en hours).
A number of companies offer a morning bus service to the Difunta Correa Shrine
(AR$120 return, departs 7:30am) in San Juan province; the journey is three hours each
way and the bus waits three hours before returning. Buses to Maipú leave from the stop
on La Rioja between Garibaldi and Catamarca.
Buses from Mendoza
There are daily departures from Mendoza's bus terminal to most destinations in the fol-
lowing table, and sometimes upwards of 10 to 20 per day to major cities. Prices reflect
midseason fares.
