In a hidden-away plot overlooking the Río Iguazú, the friendly
owners have set up a real haven here. There are just four rooms, elegant and comfortable;
two share a good bathroom. You can use the spacious kitchen, watch birds in the garden,
or kick back on the poolside terrace with river views. Overpriced but pleasing.

a standard midrange hotel, this appeals for its handy central location, competent staff,
pleasant pool and Jacuzzi, and comfortably bland modern rooms. The standard rooms
aren't super-spacious, so if that's important to you, upgrade to a superior, which costs
very little extra.

around a verdant garden, life couldn't be easier here -if you can't face the long walk
around the pool, take the bridge across it. Plain, somewhat musty twin rooms have
queen-sized beds; cozier upstairs doubles overlook the pool and banana plants. Break-
fast, served in the authentic Italian restaurant, gets the seal of approval, too. Cheaper if
you pay cash.

fast we can barely keep up. It's a secluded, enchanting spot, featuring characterful indi-
vidual rooms and suites around a tree-filled courtyard garden that's romantically lit at
night. One of the welcoming owners is an architect, and it shows, in the numerous small
decorative touches as well as the artistic design.
An outdoor hot tub, small spa complex, saltwater pool, and all-over style and elegance
are other great features. The other owner is a chef who runs one of the town's best res-
