In-Depth Information
Only a few places are currently using waves to generate electricity: off the northern coast of France, in the Bay
of Fundy, on the northeast end of the Bay of Maine between the United States and Canada, and in Strangford
Lough off the coast of Northern Ireland. A wave farm is being installed off the coast of Reedsport, Oregon.
Other ocean-wave or tidal-wave projects are being planned throughout the world.
