Just off Hwy 1, about 1 mile south of Stinson Beach, this jewel has seven beachfront camp-
sites and nine rustic five-person cabins with wood stoves overlooking the ocean. Both op-
tions are booked out months in advance and reservations can be made up to seven months
ahead.
Bootjack Campground

Recently reopened after decades of closure, its 15 first-come, first-served walk-in sites are
right on two of the park's best hiking trails and adjacent to Redwood Creek, with open vis-
tas to the south. It's a half-mile northeast of Pantoll Station.
Pantoll Campground

From the parking lot it's a 100yd walk or bicycle ride to the campground, with 16 first-
come, first-served tent sites but no showers.
West Point Inn

Load up your sleeping bag and hike in to this rustic 1904 hilltop hideaway built as a stop-
over for the Mill Valley and Mt Tamalpais Scenic Railway. It also hosts monthly pancake
breakfasts ($10) on Sundays during the summer.
