In-Depth Information
This old-fashioned family-run guesthouse is safe and conveniently located, but to get to the
lift lobby from Nathan Rd you have to negotiate a long flight of stairs. All 16 rooms are neat
and small; bathrooms are also clean, but cramped and fitted with ageing gadgets. Ask for a
room with windows.
GUESTHOUSE
INNSIGHT
HK$600-800; ; Tsim Sha Tsui, exit H)
Fabulous location, warmly decorated rooms and a cosy pantry are the fortes here. The own-
er Carmen makes an effort to please, even providing free shampoo and bath gel, which
makes it easy to overlook the fact that the showers are not encased in stalls. If you want a
wider bed, ask for a Comfort Double. Rates are around HK$1100 during Christmas.

This nonsmoking hostel has a youthful vibe and nine spotless and dainty rooms, each sport-
ing illustrations by a different Hong Kong artist. The rooms without windows are quieter
than the ones that have them. The other branch, Hop Inn on Carnarvon, has newer rooms in
an older building. Both branches offer free in-room wi-fi and will help to organise China
visas.
