To get to the start, take exit B from Tai Koo MTR station, head 600m west and turn into
Quarry St. The start of the trail is near the Quarry Bay Municipal Services Building at 38
Quarry St.
HIKING
TAI TAM WATERWORKS HERITAGE TRAIL

This 5km scenic trail will take you past reservoirs and a handsome collection of some 20
historic waterworks structures. These bridges, aqueducts, valve houses, pumping stations
and dams, many still working, are feats of Victorian utilitarian engineering.
The trail, which ends at Tai Tam Tuk Raw Water Pumping Station, takes about two hours.
Enter at Wong Nai Chung Gap near the luxury flats of Hong Kong Parkview, or at the junc-
tion of Tai Tam Rd and Tai Tam Reservoir Rd. On weekends you'll see residents taking a
walk with their dogs, kids, maids, chauffeurs and nannies.
From Admiralty MTR station, bus 6 takes you to Wong Nai Chung Reservoir. Walk east
along Tai Tam Reservoir Rd.

The Hong Kong Tennis Centre, with 17 courts, is on a spectacular hill pass between Happy
Valley and Deep Water Bay on Hong Kong Island. It's usually easy to get a court during
working hours.
