This excellent shop sells climbing and hiking gear and pretty much everything you need for
tackling Hong Kong's hills and country parks. Turn left when you exit the MTR station and
walk for three minutes.

Masks, snorkels, fins, regulators, tanks - Hong Kong's longest-established dive shop also
runs dive tours and training courses.
WAN CHAI'S MARKETS
The area sandwiched by Queen's Rd East and Johnston Rd in Wan Chai is a lively out-
door bazaar thronged with vendors, shoppers and parked cars. Cross St and the
northern section of Stone Nullah Lane feature wet markets ( 7.30am-7pm) in all their

n Street, aka 'toy street' (woon gui kaai) to locals, has
hawkers selling goldfish, plastic flowers and granny underwear, but it's best known for
its traditional toy shops ( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; 14-19 Tai Yuen St; 10am-8.30pm) where you'll
find not only kiddies' playthings, but clockwork tin and other kidult collectibles. Spring
Garden Lane and Wan Chai Rd are a treasure trove of quirky shops selling everything
from Indian and Southeast Asian spices to funerary offerings and gadgets.

HIKING
EASTERN NATURE TRAIL

Belonging to Stage 5 of the Hong Kong Trail, this 9km, three-hour nature trail, so called be-
cause of the indigenous trees and birds you'll meet along it, starts on Mount Parker Rd in
Quarry Bay and ends on Wong Nai Chung Gap Rd in Tai Tam. The trail features historic
sites including WWII military relics and a house in red brick that belonged to a sugar re-
finery.
You'll pass beautiful Tai Tam Country Park as you descend to Tai Tam Reservoir. Follow-
ing Tai Tam Reservoir Rd, you'll reach Wong Nai Chung Gap Rd.
