The
art of horseback riding has returned to Versailles. On most weekends from May through
mid-December, you can either watch a basic training session or enjoy a choreographed
performance—including “equestrian fencing”—performed to classical music (training
sessions-€12—includes a visit of the stables, Sat-Sun and some Thu at 11:15; musical
shows-€25, Sun and some Thu at 15:00 plus Sat at 20:00 May-July and at 18:00 Sept-
Dec, but schedule is sporadic—check website for closure dates and extra performances).
The stables (Grandes Ecuries) are across the parking square from the Château, next
