Arc de Triomphe: Without a doubt, this is the perfect place to see the glamor-
ousChamps-Elysées(ifyoucanmanagethe284steps).It'sgreatduringtheday,but
even greater at night, when the boulevard positively glitters (covered by Museum

Notre-Dame's Tower: This viewpoint is brilliant—it couldn't be more cent-
ral—but it requires climbing 400 steps and is usually crowded with long lines (try
toarriveearlyorlate).Uphighonthetower,you'llgetanunobstructedviewofgar-
goyles,theriver,theLatinQuarter,andtheIledelaCité(coveredbyMuseumPass,
see here ).
Steps of Sacré-Cœur: JointhepartyonParis'onlyhilltop.Walkuphill,ortake
the funicular or Montmartrobus, then hunker down on Sacré-Cœur's steps to enjoy
the sunset and territorial views over Paris. Stay in Montmartre for dinner, then see
