Radium Resort
Perfectly described by its name, Dry Gulch Provincial Park (250/422-3003, May-
mid-Oct., $21 per site) offers 26 sites four kilometers (2.5 miles) south of town. Typical of
provincial park camping, each site has a picnic table and fire pit but no hookups. Reserva-
tions are not taken.
FOOD
The town of Radium Hot Springs holds several good choices for a food break. For break-
fast, head to the Springs Course restaurant (Stanley St., 250/347-9311, 7am-9pm daily
Apr.-Oct., $13-25), at the golf course on the west side of the highway. The view from the
deck, overlooking the Columbia River and Purcell Mountains, is nothing short of stunning.
The food is good and remarkably inexpensive; in the morning, for example, an omelet with
three fillings, hash browns, and toast is just $12.
Back in town, Back Country Jack's (Main St. W., 250/347-0097, 11am-11pm daily,
$12-18) is decorated with real antiques and real hard bench seats in private booths. There's
