Reg's Garden: Located in St Brelade, Reg's Garden is open every day of the year from
10.00 to 17.00, with entry free, although a charitable donation is encouraged. Although a
visit is recommended at any time to experience the delights of the garden, ponds, water-
falls etc it is well worth trying to arrange for your visit to coincide with one of the week-
end events which are held during the summer months. In addition you may even be lucky
enough to see one of the Civil Wedding ceremonies, which can now be held in the Garden
Theatre. Tel: 01534 743756
Samares Manor : The Gardens of Samares Manor, in St Clement, are open everyday from
April to October, check their website for the latest information regarding opening times.
Originally created in the 1920's the gardens have been significantly improved in recent
years. Highlights include the Japanese Garden, the Mediterranean garden plus the Herb
Garden.
Many of the herbs are used in the preparation of dishes in the Herb Garden Café.
Other activities include tours of the Manor House as well as being able to visit the Rural
Life and Carriage Museum
South Coast Cruises : A journey along the south coast on board the “Southern Bay Rose”
shows the island from a totally different perspective. The catamaran is 50 feet long and
can accommodate up to 100 passengers or private parties for up to 60 guests. There is a
bar and toilets on board. Cruises last either 1½ or 2½ hours. If you don't have your own
boat this has to be the best way to see one of the finest sections of the Jersey coastline. Tel:

Visits to Other Islands and France: A visit to Jersey can be easily combined with a visit
to one of the other Channel Islands or northern France and a day trip should be considered
by anybody who is visiting the island for more than just a few days.
St Malo: One of the pearls of the north coast of France it is relatively straightforward to
visit St Malo for the day. There is normally a morning departure with a late afternoon re-
turn. Sometimes, particularly at weekends, there is a late ferry back from France, which
clearly allows for a longer day in the French town.
