beach during the summer months. The café, above the beach, serves a wide range
of food, with particularly excellent breakfasts.
Plemont is a great bay to visit at any time, the caves and waterfalls are only accessible
from half tide down.
8.) Walk out to Seymour Tower - the southeast corner of the Island is viewed
by many as Jersey's last great wilderness. As the tide drops, particularly on spring
tides, which occur every two weeks a unique landscape is revealed. At low tide
the edge of the sea has retreated nearly two miles, encouraging people to walk out
towards the offshore towers. Seymour Tower is the easiest tower to visit, leaving
from the slipway opposite the Seymour Pub. Follow the tide down, to reach the
tower in time for lunch.
Take care though as the tide rises particularly fast, so always start the journey back
to the mainland before low water, which allows plenty of time. It is possible to hire
a guide, whose knowledge can greatly enhance the quality of the experience.
