There's free wi-fi in the top-floor food court of the Lutsk shopping centre (pr Voli) .
Lutsk is well endowed with English-language maps positioned at strategic points around
town.

Getting There & Around
The bus station is 2km northeast of the city centre, next to a market; trolleybus 5, plus
numerous marshrutky, link it to central maydan Teatralny (look for signs like or ).
Scheduled bus connections:
Dubno 18uah, 1¼ hours, at least 10 daily
Kremenets 32uah, two hours, at least 10 daily
Lviv 55uah, four hours, nine daily
Ternopil 60uah, four hours, several daily
The train station is just a little south of the bus station, and also northeast of the city
centre. Trolleybuses 4 and 7, plus numerous marshrutky, shuttle between here and may-
dan Teatralny. There are two trains to and from Kyiv (117uah, 7½ to 8½ hours); the best
service from Lutsk is the overnighter leaving at 10.26pm.

Shatsky National Nature Park
The Shatsky National Nature Park lies 160km northwest of Lutsk in the corner between
Belarus and Poland, and has some 200 lakes, rivers and streams. However, while fascin-
ating to scientists, Ukraine's wild 'Lake District' and its deep Lake Svityaz is a long way
from appealing to all but the most adventurous of (camping and rafting) tourists.
If you are interested in heading to this park, catch one of the frequent buses to Kovel
and change for the village of Shatsk. At least eight buses a day also go direct to Shatsk
from Lutsk (60uah, three hours). Don't even consider heading this way without lashings
of mosquito repellent.
