Getting There & Away
A cheap way to enter Ukraine is to fly to Poland on a budget airline then proceed over-
land to Lviv from there.

Internationally, Lviv is attracting an ever-increasing number of flights to Western
Europe and Russia. There are currently services to/from Vienna, Munich, Warsaw, Tim-
işoara, İstanbul, Dortmund, Venice, Wrocław, Kraków, Naples, Milan, Rome, Tel Aviv,
Hurghada and Moscow. Sadly (or maybe not) Ryanair pulled out of planned flights that
would have linked Lviv with London Stansted.
BUS
The extremely inconveniently located
Main bus station
(Holovny Avtovokzal; vul Stryska)
is
a whopping 7km south of the city centre. To reach the city centre take trolleybus 5. Con-

Bus Station No 8

in front of the main train station, is the place
to pick up a quick
marshrutka
(fixed-route minibus) if you miss your train or there are no
tickets; it also handles a few services to western and southern destinations and is the de-
parture point for the Shehyni border

Bus Station No 2
is 3km north of
the city centre (take bus 1A from pr Svobody) but is only good for services to Zhovkva
