mosphere is arty-farty and the menu eclectic. Dishes exhibit Ukrainian, Thai and French
influences and, yes, the chef is talented enough to pull it off. If it's raining, you can kill
time admiring the art or thumbing through the colourful coffee-table topics. It used to be
the city's main Francophone hang-out, but the crowd has largely moved to its new outlet
near pl Lvivska (vul Artyoma 10, cnr vul Smyrnova - Lastochkyna ) .

( http://barsuk.kiev.ua ; prov Kutuzova 3A; mains 80-170uah; Pecherska) Tucked away in a
small lane opposite Pechersky market, the Badger brings three nouvelle concepts to Ky-
iv, namely gastropub, organic food and open-view kitchen. The cuisine could be slightly
more inventive in a place striving to look progressive, but if you like it, you are welcome
to attend cooking classes during weekends.
