Step 3: Set Interactive Element Options
Each interactive element has a variety of additional options that you
can set to control exactly how the element will behave when the movie
is playing. To set the interactive properties, follow these steps:
1.
From the Edit view, either create a new element as described in
Step 1 (above) or double-click on an existing element to open the
element's properties window.
2.
Click the Options tab to view the options for the element. For
example, if you are creating or editing a click box element, the
available options are shown in Figure 9-8.
3.
Set the length of time the element will display by choosing one of
the following from the list of Display for options:
Specific time—Enter the number of seconds you want the ele-
ment to display. If you enter a time longer than the current
length the slide is displayed, the slide timing will be adjusted
to the new length of time. For example, if your slide is cur-
rently set to display for 3 seconds, and you enter 5 seconds in
the Display for area, the slide timing will be extended to dis-
play for 5 seconds. You can enter times in increments of
one-tenth of a second.
Rest of slide—Displays the element for as long as the slide is
displayed.
