Table 8-1. Audio file properties
This column:
Displays this information:
Slide object
The slide number or slide label if there is one or name of object.
Sound
Yes indicates that there is an audio file associated with the slide; No indicates
there isn't. Note that this does not include audio for individual elements unless
you check the Show object level audio option. Therefore, a slide may contain
objects with audio but still show up on this window with a No.
Duration (s)
The length of the sound file in seconds.
Fade in (s)
Specify the length of time in seconds for the fade in.
Fade out (s)
Specify the length of time in seconds for the fade out.
Size (MB)
The size of the sound file in megabytes.
Original filename
The name of the sound file. Note that Captivate automatically names the files
as you record them.
Audio sample rate
(Hz)
An indicator of the sound quality set during recording. A higher sample rate
gives a more realistic sound but requires a larger file size. The sample rate for
CD-quality audio is 44,100 samples per second, expressed in kilohertz.
