6.
You can specify a fade-in time to start the sound file gradually or a
fade-out time to make the sound file gradually get softer as it ends.
Enter a time in seconds in the Fade in or Fade out boxes. You can
specify fade times with an accuracy of a tenth of a second. For
example, to fade out for half a second, enter 0.5.

Once you've added an audio file, you can click the Play icon to
hear how it will sound or preview the audio in the slide timeline
(see Chapter 7).
Tip:
Though the Play icon lets you know how the audio will sound,
this audio preview may not incorporate all of the options that are
part of the overall slide. For example, if you have defined a fade-in
time delay, you'll need to preview the slide (or the whole project) in
order to see this delay.

Click OK to close the properties window.
Adding Audio to a Slide
You can add audio to an entire slide. This type of audio begins playing
as soon as the slide displays. Unlike audio attached to elements, you
can modify the audio to begin or end whenever you like within the
slide timeline. To add existing audio to a slide, you can choose from an
audio file that exists within your project already, or you can browse to
import a file from elsewhere on your system.
To add an audio file to a slide, follow these steps:
1.
Open the slide to which you want to add audio.
2.
Double-click anywhere on the background of the slide (not on an
element) to display the properties for that slide.
3.
Click the Audio tab to display the slide audio properties.
