described later in this chapter.
Adding Special Mouse Click Effects
There are two options that let you define the way the cursor move-
ment mimics the movement of your mouse. Unlike the other
elements, the cursor movement does not have a separate audio com-
ponent, and although the mouse click effects are noises based on audio
files, Captivate does not treat them like other audio components. They
are linked to and part of the movement element and cannot be treated
separately.
To set the special mouse click effects, follow these steps:
1.
In Edit view, open the slide that contains the movement you want
to edit.
2.
Open the Mouse menu in any of the following ways:
In the Storyboard view Slide Tasks pane, click Mouse .
In Edit view, right-click anywhere on the background of the
slide to display a pop-up menu, then choose Mouse .
From the Slide menu, click Mouse .
3.
Choose Properties from the Mouse menu to display the Mouse
Properties window, as shown in Figure 7-35.
4.
Select Show mouse click to cause a small animation to display
when the cursor reaches its end position on the path. This graphic
represents the clicking of a mouse. By default, a small blue dot
appears when the cursor reaches the end of the movement path.
5.
If you've chosen to show the default mouse click graphic, select
Default . You can change the color of the graphic by clicking in the
color box (shown in Figure 7-35 as a dark box next to the word
Default).
6.
If you've chosen to show a graphic to represent the mouse click
but don't want to use the default graphic, select Custom and then
choose a graphic from the drop-down list. The box next to the list
displays a preview of what each graphic looks like.
