The changes you make to the image properties will be applied to
all subsequent images. If you want to apply these changes to all
images that are already in the movie, click Apply to all to apply
the current settings as defined in the properties settings window.
To view or change the properties settings, click the Settings
button.

You can click the Options tab to set timing and transitions as
described later in this chapter, click the Size and Position tab to set
the default size and position, or click the Audio tab to set audio
properties, as described in Chapter 8.

Click OK to display the new image in the center of the slide.

Using your mouse, click and drag the image to the desired location
on the slide. You can also resize the image if necessary by clicking
and dragging the corners of the outline.
Working with Animations
There are three types of animations within Captivate. The primary dif-
ference between the animation types is the way the files are created.
Full-motion recordings are actually AVI animations that are cre-
ated by Captivate and stored as Flash files that are displayed on a
single slide. These full-motion recordings take up the full area of
the slide and thus cannot be moved. The icon for the animation
appears in the center of the slide. Full-motion recording is
described in Chapter 4.
Imported animations are files that were created outside of Capti-
vate. Valid animation types for importing are AVI, SWF, FLA, FLV,
and animated GIF files.
