Specifying Default Elements for Recording
When you record tasks for a movie, Captivate can automatically add
various visual elements for certain actions. For example, text captions
will be added whenever you:
Select a menu
Select an item from a menu
Click on a button
Click on a link
Change a value in a list
Select or deselect a check box
Open a new window or dialog box
Captivate can also be set to automatically include highlight boxes or
click boxes whenever you click the mouse or to record the mouse
movements (or not). To specify whether or not Captivate should add
elements automatically for you, you have to edit the recording options.
To do this, follow these steps:
Note: You do not have to have an open project to change the
recording options.
1.
From the Edit menu, choose Preferences to display the Prefer-
ences window, then click on Recording from the categories on the
left side of the window.
