and losses are evaluated. These results are then recorded and compared with the
results of the other algorithms implemented. The generalized approach for placing
the capacitor is shown in Fig. 11 .
6 Results and Discussions
Based on the discussions made above, for the solution methodologies for OCP, the
capacitor placement has been performed here for the IEEE 69-bus radial distribu-
tion system, as shown in Fig. 12 . To show the applicability of soft computing
techniques for OCP and the effect of changes in planning method, the study is
performed for two different cases,
