To get to the park, take Highway 16 west out of town for three kilometers (1.9 miles),
then head north around the back of the sawmill on Kalum Lake Drive. The park is 78 kilo-
meters (48.5 miles) along this road; watch for logging trucks.
Recreation
Many trails in the area tempt hikers. For an easy stroll, take the three-kilometer (1.9-mile)
path (50 minutes or less) around Ferry Island, in the middle of the Skeena River east
