By Air
The largest airport in the region is Toronto's Pearson International Airport (YYZ, 6301
Silver Dart Dr., Mississauga, 416/247-7678, www.torontopearson.com ). Pearson handles
flights from 64 different airlines and is Canada's busiest airport. Pearson is large, time-
consuming to navigate, and expensive. Many Canadian travelers use the Buffalo airport
because flights are less costly and the airport is small and easy to use. The Buffalo
Niagara International Airport (BUF, 4200 Genesee St., Buffalo, 716/630-6000,
www.buffaloairport.com ) is a 25-minute drive from Niagara Falls. The Niagara Falls
International Airport (IAG, 2035 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls, 716/297-4494,
www.niagarafallsairport.com ) is conveniently located close to the falls, but is only serviced
by two regional air carriers, Allegiant Air ( www.allegiantair.com ) and Spirit Airlines
( www.spirit.com ) , so flight options are limited.
By Train
Amtrak (800/872-7245, www.amtrak.com ) offers service between Buffalo and Niagara
Falls with stops on both sides of the border. Amtrak's Empire Route joins New York City
andNiagaraFallswiththreedailyruns.The Maple Leaf Route runsoncedaily,connecting
New York City with Toronto via the falls.
By Bus
Intercity motorcoach service providers with routes that link downtown Buffalo, Niagara
Falls, and Toronto include Greyhound (800/661-8747, www.greyhound.com ) and
