TRIP SUMMARY: This topic describes several routes to the remote 4853-foot summit
of Ventana Double Cone, in the heart of Ventana Wilderness. For general information

This route offers a consistent grade and spectacular views, particularly in winter
and spring. Be aware that the first 4 miles are overrun with poison oak, and developed
trails along the fire break make the trail difficult and confusing to follow.
