How It Works
Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control is Oracle's complete, cloud-enabled Oracle enterprise management and
monitoring software suite designed to provide a comprehensive Oracle systems monitoring solution. Oracle delivers
a comprehensive and robust set of monitoring and management capabilities with Enterprise Manager Cloud Control,
and while it is not mandatory for an Exadata DMA to monitor their Exadata environments with EM Cloud Control
12c, it is generally considered an operational best practice based on Oracle's comprehensive, Exadata-specific
management framework design.
Oracle provides a robust mechanism called the Exadata Agent Kit that allows you to install and configure Cloud
Control agents on your Exadata Database Machine. In summary, the process works as follows:

1. Install and validate Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control.

2. Download and unzip the Exadata Agent Kit.
