2. Create a base view from the marking menu or the Create panel of the
Place Views tab.
3. Click the Open Existing File button, browse to Assemblies\Chapter
12 , and click the c12-08.iam file.
4. Set the orientation of the view to Iso Bottom Left and the scale to 1:3.
5. Click the Shaded style.
6. Switch to the Display Options tab, and uncheck Tangent Edges.
7. Change to the Model State tab in the dialog box.
8. In the Weldment group, set the type of view you want to place to
Assembly, and then click a location on the drawing for the view, as
shown in Figure 12.14.

9. Start the Base view tools again.
10. Repeat steps 3 through 7.
11. Set the view type for the weldment group to Machining, and place the
view so that your drawing looks like Figure 12.15.
The intermediate steps of preparations can be shown in the drawing as well,
and any type of drawing can be created from these states, just as you would any
other file.
