11. Create another new cylinder, setting D = 12 and L = 16.
12. Create the fifth segment to be the same as the first: D = 10 and L = 10.
13. In the bottom segment, click the end treatment icon on the right, and
click the Chamfer option in the drop-down.
14. When the small dialog box appears, set the Distance value of the cham-
fer to .3, and click the OK check mark.
15. Add a .3 chamfer to the left end of the first shaft segment. The Shaft
Component Generator dialog box now should look like Figure 8.7.

16. Click OK to generate the shaft and OK again to accept the names of
the new files.
17. Place the new shaft into the assembly by clicking a location in the
Design window.
