Uploading and Inserting a Video File (with Space Upgrade)
For a WordPress.org-supported blog, or a WordPress.com blog with a VideoPress upgrade, upload-
ing and inserting a video file is much like uploading and inserting an image. Follow these steps:
1. In the Administration area of your blog, under the Media Library menu, click Add New. The
Media Library uploader appears.
2. Select the video file and upload it.
3. Enter the Title and Description. As with image and audio files, the Title is the name of the audio
clip within the Media Library. The Description is only used within the Media Library.
4. Check the check box if you want the embed code to be displayed. In most cases you will.
5. If appropriate, select a rating for your video clip. This is a voluntary step to help ensure that
younger web users view age-appropriate content. If you
aren't familiar with American movie ratings, G is for
General audiences; PG-13 is Parental Guidance suggested,
only those 13 and up should see the video; R-17 means
only those who can prove they're 17 or older are admitted;
X-18 means that anyone younger than 18 is expressly for-
bidden from being admitted. Enforcement of these stan-
dards is not very far along on the Web, though.
